Students will share what they do when they encounter difficult words when reading.

After discussing synonyms and antonyms, students will be able to:
1. Identify synonyms for common adjectives.
2. Revise sentences using synonyms to replace common terms.
3. Match familiar words with their antonyms.
Task:
Class will review synonyms and antonyms.
Several words will be provided and class provide a synonym and an antonym for each word.
Students will complete a worksheet on synonyms and antonyms.
Thursday/Friday September 2-3, 2021
Objectives:
After explaining simple, compound and complex sentences, students will be able to:
3. Construct simple, compound and complex sentences.
4.Effectively use multiple types of sentences in a single piece of writing.
Task:
Students will get in groups of 4.
Teacher will assign a topic to each group (Simple, Compound, Complex, Compound-Complex sentences)
Groups will prepare for 30 mins and begin presentation.
After presentation, teacher will go over presentations.
